Probation, apology letter ordered from man who stole from girls soccer team
ANN ARBOR, MI – The Pioneer High School Girls Soccer Program got a check for more than $30,000 Thursday afternoon.
Unfortunately, it’s not a new donation. It’s $30,975.25 being returned to the girls after the program’s former treasurer pleaded no contest to embezzling the cash over a two-year-period.
Handing the check over to the court on Sept. 5, Christopher Poterala apologized for taking the money as he awaited to hear his sentence before Washtenaw County Trial Judge Darlene O’Brien.
